KROPSHOLDER
Furniture
Kropsholder is a new interpretation of the seating furniture, inspired by the metaphor kropsholder (body container). This abstract piece of furniture is designed with inspiration from the first body container we encounter as human beings – a mothers womb. The material is soft and flexible, inviting you to interact with the furniture in different ways, focusing on a feeling of comfort and nearness.
Kropsholder is designed in collaboration with architect Kerstin Kongsted for the Rundkant exhibition Kvinde Kend din Kropsholder, Ny TAP Carlsberghallerne, 2012.
The project was also exhibited at Trapholt, Galleri Vess and Formland and featured in Politiken and the publication Dansk Design Nu.
